How to use Vintage Wax

Voodoo Molly Vintage Wax is made from 100% natural ingredients including beeswax and essential oils. It can be safely used on timber, antiques, Vintage Paint, Vintage Chalk Powder, chalk paint, milk paint, leather, children's furniture, toys and around pets.

Vintage Wax is non-yellowing and can be safely used on white paint and white leather. It will nourish and waterproof, creating a soft, natural shine.

PREPARATION: 

  1. Bare wood - Remove any loose particles and repair any damage.

  2. Clean with mild detergent and water, rinsing well. Ensure all previous polish, wax, oil and grease is removed, if necessary use wax remover or mineral spirits.

  3. If necessary use a very fine grit sandpaper to prepare the surface, working only in the direction of the grain.

  1. Painted surface - If freshly painted with Voodoo Molly Vintage Paint  or Voodoo Molly Vintage Chalk  allow the surface to dry overnight. For best results wait for full cure of 7 days.

  2. Remove any dust particles with a damp lint-free cloth and allow to dry. 

APPLICATION: 

  1. Use a lint-free cloth or wax brush to apply Vintage Wax liberally. 

  2. Start in circular motions penetrating the wax deep into the surface, then rub wax in the direction of the grain.

  3. Remove any excess wax if necessary.

  4. Allow wax to dry for at least 30 mins (overnight is even better!)

  5. Gently buff wax with a soft, clean cloth to a subtle sheen. 

  6. Reapply whenever you need to re-moisturise, nourish and protect.
