Chalk based furniture painting uses a matt paint which is easy to apply and easy to sand. 

It is most often used for distressed, faux age, French Provincial or country looks,  where a textured aged finish is required. 

Voodoo Molly Vintage Chalk Powder creates this same velvety matt finish. However unlike pure Voodoo Molly Vintage Paint, chalk based paints requires a clear coat to keep it looking clean and protected, such as wax or varnish. 

METHOD 

1. Mix together Voodoo Molly Vintage Chalk Powder  with Vintage Paint as per directions.

2. Use a brush to apply Voodoo Molly Vintage Chalk Powder  onto clean and prepared furniture.

3. For a textured look brush paint in multiple directions in criss-cross patterns. For a smoother look paint in the directions of the grain. 

4. Allow each coat to dry before reapplying. 

5. When completely dry use 120-150 grit sandpaper to distress edges.  

6. Seal with Voodoo Molly Vintage Wax,  Voodoo Molly Vintage Clearcoat  or Voodoo Molly Wipe-On Clearcoat  as per directions.
