HINTS, IDEAS & INSPIRATION

Buffet with style

  • Before painting this beautiful old buffet in Vintage Paint "Old Linen", I completed repairs, filled old handle holes, added new keyhole plates, lightly sanded and cleaned.
  • Vintage Paint self-levels to reduce brush marks. To create texture I over-brushed in a cross-hatch direction a minute or so after paint was applied. 
  • To deepen the finish, either use Vintage DARK Wax or mix Vintage Stain "Ebony" into Vintage CLEAR Wax. Applied it with a wax brush and rubbed into the textured finish. Alternatively, use our new DARK WAX. 
  • Some dainty clear glass knobs finished it off nicely. I had to drill a couple of new holes for these.
